Rigid Tactical is currently seeking an experienced Facility Maintainer to work with our customer to construct and provide HTSC training aids for exercises in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures, and guidelines. This position is based out of our China Lake, CA. location.
Total Compensation is $26.18 per hour - SCA Contract
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Construct and provide current HSTC IED training aids for exercises based on current real-world intelligence and events.
- Provide continuous assessment on the upkeep, repair, and replacement of training facilities and supporting equipment.
- Perform maintenance/repair on facilities and equipment necessary to support training events.
- Attend government scheduling meetings to ensure maintenance actions are coordinated and prioritized.
- Draft related correspondence.
- Maintain the material condition and realism of HSTC ranges and facilities to make them ready for training.
- Required to operate GOV on Range at China Lake Range. No POV or civilian leased vehicles allowed on the range.
Education/Qualifications:
Associate's Degree AS/AA in science, engineering, management, or other relevant field. At least two (2) years of recent (within the last four years) experience in a technical discipline relevant to stated requirements such as EOD to include military or military support operational experience that includes Individual IED-related and Collective C-IED-related tasks, communications, security, or intelligence programs. Two (2) additional years of experience may be substituted for the degree.
- Ability to interface with all levels of Command.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.-Successful candidates will possess excellent communication, written and oral skills, superior relationship and interpersonal skills. Candidate must be a team player with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- Moderate physical exertion such as long periods standing, walking over rough uneven or rocky surfaces
- All types of weather conditions ranging from 110 F to very cold (30 F in winter)
- Lifting up to 50lbs.
- SECRET clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable in the use of hand and power tools (Tape measure, saws, grinders, cut off saws, etc.).
- Experience in carpentry, masonry, concrete, electrical and automotive repair is a plus.
